Discover More About What To Do With Pumpkin Seeds
What are your holiday traditions? Oh come on; I know you must have at least a few for each special occasion. Do you sing carols at Christmas time or say a prayer at Thanksgiving? One of my favorites is the classic Easter egg hunt we like to do on that bright sunny morning. My daughter always has a blast with this ritual. There's just something about plastic eggs stuffed with candy that gets her excited. Now, I must say that my absolute favorite yearly tradition comes on a night known as Halloween. Yes indeed folks, it's all about the tricks, the treats, and the pumpkin seeds. Have you got a head start on carving your pumpkin this year? Whatever you do, don't throw away those delicious pumpkin seeds.
What do you like to do with pumpkin seeds on Halloween? Do you clean them off, lay them out on a baking sheet and sprinkle them with salt? Once they're baked for a while, they'll definitely make a tasty treat. This is the way my mother would always prepare the pumpkin seeds. However, in recent times I've noticed that there are a number of ways to take advantage of those Jack-O-Lantern remains. If you hop on the World-Wide-web, you can sort through oodles of terrific recipes and projects. Who ever knew that some folks dine on chocolate covered pumpkin seeds? Although I've never tried these, I am definitely not opposed to giving them a shot. After all, what isn't great after it's been covered in chocolate? Furthermore, you can also create wonderful arts and crafts with your kids by using pumpkin seeds. Simply glue them on posterboard to make a variety of great designs.
Are you ready for this Halloween season? Have you acquired all the necessary decorations and treats for the countless ghosts, goblins, and ghouls that may come a knocking at your door? This is always the best part in my opinion. Getting the house ready for a good old traditional scare is a blast. However, be sure you don't discard those pumpkin seeds without first considering the possibilities. Maybe you want to eat them, or maybe you want to dry them out for you little one's artistic creations. Regardless of what you use your pumpkin seeds for, don't forget to pick up a few pointers online this year.
